Quick Update

I had Lasik exactly one month ago.  And I STILL haven't drawn a comic about it.  If I can still remember what it was like, I'll do so!

Because it took a while to recover from the surgery, I'm behind on my cartoon.  Roy's still working on backgrounds, and I'm still practicing Ghosteh's voice and doing some sound editing.  I have a lot of new ideas for more episodes though. =D  Time to go buy coffee and get started on the animation...

Back From Vacation

Hey all!  I've been on vacation in Hawaii for the last 6 days, so I couldn't work on GtM while I was away.  I've gotten better at drawing Strider's new hairstyle, decided to tweak Ghosteh's colors (but haven't figured out what color scheme to give him yet), and started a new sketching style: highlighter drawings! 8D Basically I draw full-body sketches (from now on), ink them, and color the green, blue, and purple parts with some cool new highlighters I got.  So keep an eye out for those! ;)

Oh yeah, and I've gotten better at speaking in a Cockney dialect. XD

Backgrounds Have Started

This is the first major step of the cartoon to have begun.  I am in the process of sketching the backgrounds so that my lovely assistant, Roy, can paint them.  I may post up a few samples when we finish enough, so keep an eye out!

In other news...I'm leaving for Hawaii on the 27th!!!  My parents have decided to go there to watch the Pro Bowl in Waikiki.  This will be my 7th time visiting Hawaii for a vacation!  WOO!  I'll be working on GtM during the 5-hour plane ride (or I may just end up playing Pokemon, who knows).

SFX + Music

Just today, I started using Audacity. I've had it on my computer for a long time now, but since my parents went to the football game in San Diego, I decided to spend the day recording some sound effects for the cartoon. I've been messing around with Audacity to edit all the SFX, and it's pretty fun.

Storyboards in Progress!

Dang, I forgot to post this earlier!  I finished compositing my final film, but I'm not sure whether to upload it.  If I decide to, I'll post a link.  Aaaannnd on Thursday, my animation class is having a potluck before we head to the library for the premier of our animations. =D  Meanwhile, my parents are going to the Mark & Brian Christmas Show at the Nokia Theater that day.  My dad bought all three of us tickets before knowing that I couldn't go. u_u

Also, I'm finally going to continue storyboarding my GtM episodes.  Once the first two episode's storyboards are done, my partner-in-crime Roy Hunter Julien is going to do the backgrounds.  Then, we can start hiring voice actors for Giovanni and Strider. =D  I can't wait for that!  Til then, I have to practice Ghosteh's voice, and Roy's brother Merryll will be composing the music.  Okay then, see you guys next time!

Final Film's Animation DONE

Okay guys, I just finished shooting the animation for my final film at school.  The teacher, and a few people who saw the playback, really liked it.  I did too, but some of the timing is a bit off on some frames.  Oh well...overall, I'm happy with it.  December 7th is the date I signed up for to scan the backgrounds and add sound, so I'll upload it then.  Now I'm off to eat and make up for lost sleep.

Basilisk Radio

I'm putting together a "radio" segment where I will be posting audio clips of things such as my voice acting samples, original music for GtM, radio shows featuring all of my characters, voice acting bloopers from the entire GtM cast, and more.  I'm still developing it though, and once I get Ghosteh's voice down, I'll be able to post something. =D  Wish me luck!
